Nothing, apparently, to do with the Smokey Robinson original, this is a thick yet lilting, gentle techno rework of Pig & Dan's track by the excellent Max Cooper.
Expertly blurring the lines between Techno and House, Drumcode’s Ben Sims has produced a blue-blooded dance floor filler.

Time for a bit more love for Rob Booth's essential Electronic Explorations. This time it's a beautiful mix by Swarms, who we featured on Eargasms a few weeks back. A seamless collection of uplifting, progressive and deeply textured music, I've had this on repeat since it featured on the EE podcast at the start of this year.
It's unquestionably one of the best session mixes I've heard in 2011 so far, and a stand-out showcase for this kind of music. At face value, I was a little skeptical of the pairing. But it makes a lot of sense given the miserablist nature of the original track's lyrics, and the cold, desolate sound Shackleton gives it here.
For reference, here's the original which has been a personal favourite for a long time now.
