Time for a bit more love for Rob Booth’s essential Electronic Explorations. This time it’s a beautiful mix by Swarms, who we featured on Eargasms a few weeks back. A seamless collection of uplifting, progressive and deeply textured music, I’ve had this on repeat since it featured on the EE podcast at the start of this year.

It’s unquestionably one of the best session mixes I’ve heard in 2011 so far, and a stand-out showcase for this kind of music. It’s a relatively short mix at 38 minutes, and I urge you to check it out if just for the plunge over the precipitous drop that begins around the 32:30 mark—the setup and execution is physically breath-taking, and quite unlike anything I’ve heard before.
