There’s something mesmeric in Shackleton’s bleak, shuddering and wonderfully crafted soundscapes that has me fascinated at the moment. So Mike introduced me to this remix of Moderat’s Rusty Nails just this week.

At face value, I was a little skeptical of the pairing. But it makes a lot of sense given the miserablist nature of the original track’s lyrics, and the cold, desolate sound Shackleton gives it here.
